Recently purchased a pair of Chocolate Mad dog Ropers from "mean Jean" at the Vail, Co store. The picture here does not give them full justice, they are much better looking when worn. The quality and fit of this boot is excellent, the finish requires very little care. The break-in period is short, I was able to walk about 60 blocks in NYC the second time I wore them without any discomfort. In my opinion the roper is the most practical western boot as you can wear these boots for almost all occassions.
